Conference terms

Last updated · 20 October 2026

These terms apply to tickets and company packs for the Unblock AI Conference 2026 (13 November 2026, Hotel Júpiter, Lisbon) and to the conference app. Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer yours to someone else for free until 11 November. If we cancel the event, you get your money back in full. Sponsors support the event; every decision about it is ours, and so is the responsibility.

Who we are

The Unblock AI Conference 2026 is organised by Unblock AI, a community run by Pedro Ganço, Catarina Canelas and Diogo Figueiredo, with diconium as main sponsor.

Tickets and packs are sold and invoiced by Joana Joaquim & Pedro Ganço, Lda., the organiser for the purposes of these terms ("we", "us"):

  • registered office: Rua Manuel Conceição Gomes André, 3, 1.º Dto., 2080-121 Almeirim, Portugal;
  • registration and tax number (NIPC): 517705770;
  • share capital: 2,00 €.

Contact: all@unblockai.pt.

When you buy a ticket or a pack, your contract is with us only. The other organisers' companies, diconium and the other sponsors, the venue and Luma are not parties to it.

The event

  • Date and place: Friday 13 November 2026, 08:00 to 20:00, Hotel Júpiter, Av. da República 46, Lisbon.
  • What is included: talks, the workshop you choose in the app (subject to room capacity), coffee breaks and the Unblock Happy Hour, as described on conference.unblockai.pt at the time you buy. Lunch is not included: there is a break from 12:30 to 14:00.
  • Seats are limited to 100.

Buying a ticket

Tickets are sold on Luma (luma.com/unblockai-conference), which takes the payment through Stripe. The price shown at checkout is the final price, VAT included. Luma's own terms apply to the use of its platform and payment page.

Each ticket admits one named person. You must be 18 or older to attend.

You will receive the ticket from Luma by email and an invoice from us. If you need the invoice in a company name, tell us the company name and VAT number at all@unblockai.pt before the event.

Company packs

Packs (Team, Partner, Happy Hour and Gold) are sold to companies and invoiced directly by us, with VAT added at the legal rate. The proposal or order we send sets out the price, the number of seats, what the pack includes and the payment date. Where it says nothing, these terms apply.

The company names the people who will use the seats and can change them until 11 November 2026. Packs are not refundable once confirmed, except where we cancel the event.

No refunds

Tickets are non-refundable. The conference is a leisure and learning event held on a fixed date. Under Portuguese law (Decree-Law 24/2014, article 17(1)(k)), the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to it.

What you can do if you cannot come:

  • You can give your ticket to someone else, free of charge, until 23:59 (Lisbon time) on 11 November 2026. Write to all@unblockai.pt with the new person's name and email, or change the guest in Luma if it lets you. The new attendee accepts these terms.
  • If you have a serious reason, such as illness, write to all@unblockai.pt before the event. We look at each request case by case, in good faith. If we agree to a refund, we refund the ticket price minus the administrative costs of the sale that we cannot recover, namely the fees charged by Luma and the payment processor for that order. We tell you the amount before we process it. We are not obliged to grant a refund, and agreeing to one request does not mean we will agree to others.

Refunds, when given, go back to the payment method used, within 14 days of our decision.

If we change or cancel the event

  • If we cancel the conference, we refund the full price you paid, fees included, within 14 days.
  • If we move the conference to another date, you can keep your ticket for the new date or ask for a full refund within 14 days of our announcement.
  • If we move it to another venue in Lisbon, your ticket stays valid. If the new venue is outside Lisbon, you can ask for a full refund.
  • Speakers, talk titles, times, workshop leaders and rooms may change. Where a change is significant, we announce it on the site and in the app. Changes of individual speakers or times do not give a right to a refund.
  • If the event cannot take place because of something outside our control (for example, a public health order, a closure of the venue or extreme weather), we refund the full price you paid, or offer a new date with the option of a full refund. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incurred.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law as a consumer.

At the event

  • Bring your Luma ticket or the QR code in the app. We may ask for ID to match the name on the ticket.
  • Everyone at the conference follows our Code of conduct. If someone seriously breaks it, we may ask them to leave and remove their access to the app, without a refund.
  • Follow the venue's rules and our staff's instructions on safety.
  • You are responsible for your belongings. We and the venue are not responsible for loss or theft, except where the law says otherwise.
  • Do not record whole talks or workshops for publication without the speaker's and our agreement. Short clips and photos for personal or social use are fine, as long as you respect people who do not want to be photographed.

Photos and video

We will have a photographer and video crew at the conference. We use photos and video of the day to report on the event and to promote Unblock AI, on our sites, social media and in future materials. Talks on stage may be recorded and published.

If you do not want to appear, pick up a no-photo sticker for your badge at registration and our team will leave you out of close shots. You can also ask us at any time to remove a photo or video in which you can be identified, by writing to all@unblockai.pt. How we handle images is explained in the Privacy policy.

Speakers agree the terms of the recording of their talk with us separately.

The conference app

The conference app at conf2026.unblockai.pt helps you plan your day, choose a workshop, meet other attendees and talk with sponsors. Access is personal: do not share your access link or code.

  • Sharing your profile in the People directory, getting AI networking suggestions and being contactable by sponsors are each optional and need your consent. You can change these choices in Settings at any time. The details are in the Privacy policy.
  • Networking suggestions are generated by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and are marked as such. They are only suggestions and can be wrong. We do not check each one.
  • Use the app to meet people and arrange conversations about the event and your work. Do not use it to send spam, sales sequences or repeated messages to someone who did not reply.
  • We may suspend access for anyone who uses the app against these terms or the Code of conduct.
  • Profile sharing and messaging end on 31 December 2026.

Sponsors

The conference is possible because of its sponsors. These rules protect them and you.

  • We alone decide the programme, the speakers, admissions, refunds, the use of attendee data, the handling of conduct reports and every other aspect of the organisation. Sponsors, including diconium as main sponsor and co-organiser of the programme, do not take or answer for these decisions.
  • Any complaint or claim about the organisation of the conference, a decision we took or something we did wrong is addressed to us, and we answer for it. Sponsors are not liable to attendees or third parties for our acts, omissions or decisions.
  • A sponsor's logo or presence at the conference shows support for the event and implies no endorsement of what speakers, attendees, other sponsors or Unblock AI say or do. Speakers speak for themselves.
  • Sponsor names and logos belong to the sponsors. You may not use them, or present a sponsor as endorsing you, your company or your product, without the sponsor's written permission.

Towards sponsors, we commit to use each sponsor's name and logo only in the forms and places agreed with that sponsor, to keep them away from content or associations that could harm the sponsor's reputation, and to remove a logo or mention promptly when a sponsor asks. If a third party makes a claim against a sponsor because of a decision or act of ours, we will handle it and keep the sponsor harmless, under the terms agreed in each sponsorship. The sponsorship proposal or agreement sets out the rest.

Our responsibility

We do our best to run a good, safe event. We are responsible for the event under the law. Our liability is not excluded or limited for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it. In any other case, our liability for the ticket contract is limited to the price you paid for the ticket.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we confirm details of the event. The version that applies to your ticket is the one in force when you bought it, unless a later change is more favourable to you. The date at the top shows the latest version.
